Síndrome Cardiorrenal

Resumo


A associação clínica entre disfunção renal e risco de doença cardiovascular motivou à criação de um conceito patológico que se ajusta à realidade clínica de pacientes com distúrbios cardíacos e renais, a síndrome cardiorrenal (SRC). Esta tem sido definida como um distúrbio bidirecional envolvendo o coração e os rins, onde a disfunção primária em algum desses órgãos compromete a função do outro e leva a um "círculo vicioso" com efeitos deletérios no prognóstico. Essa interação entre os órgãos é de natureza física, química e biológica.
Este trabalho revisará os principais conceitos fisiopatólogicos envolvidos no processo.
